The Chanshal River Camp (6,400 ft) is located near the bank of the Pubbar River in the Shimla District's small village of Tikkri, about 20 odd kilometres from Rohru, a town with a municipal committee, and 105 odd kilometres west of Shimla Town. The apples, mountaineering, and Himalayan trout fish in this region are well-known.
