Chanshal River Camp (6,400 ft) is located near the bank of the Pubbar River in the small village of Tikkri in the Shimla area. Rohru, a town and municipal committee in this area, is approximately 20 odd kilometres away. Rohru is located west of Shimla Town and 130 odd kilometres from Vikas Nagar, Dehradun. The apples, mountaineering, and Himalayan trout fish in this region are well-known.
